The Sweet Tooth

Set out on a quest
To unravel
All the hidden sweetness
In the universe—
We are the so-called 'sweet tooths'.

Feeling a tad bit low?

A touch of sweet
Is all it takes
To lift our spirits,
To fill us with life.

Stressed and weary?
We indulge—
A dessert treat,
A moment of bliss.
That’s all it takes.

Indulgence is therapy,
The experience—
A pampering, a nurturing,
Like a well-deserved spa retreat.

A bite of gooey goodness,
Delving into layers of creamy richness,
Seeking what lies deep within—
A spiritual journey toward 'Nirvana' .
And we emerge, cleansed.

Awaiting us is an endless spread,
A feast of temptations—
Baked delights, buttery pastries,
The irresistible charm of Indian mithai,
And the warmth of homemade halwas and kheers.
A soothing menu to pick from,
Each bite a sweet embrace.

The sweetness spreads
Through our very being,
Filling our souls,
Before it slowly dissolves
Into nothingness…
A truly delectable,
Soul-satisfying experience.

"Sugar rush," they'll call it.
For us…
It’s an adrenaline rush—
A boost,
A step up,
A high
That drives us
Far and beyond.
