My Little Silver Linings

My silver linings,
So shiny, so bright,
Casting light on
Every dark cloud in sight.
Brightening up my skyline
As all the things seem to fall in line,
Lighting every dark hour
With smiles that glower.

Wait for no one,
My dear,
'Cause someone not there
May not deserve to be there
In reality.

Build your own world,
My dear.
Make it so beautiful,
And so perfect in your eyes—
And that would suffice.

To make you never want to trade
An hour,
Or just a day in your life,
For any other,
For a light that would eventually
Find its way
And hug you tight.

My silver linings,
So shiny, so bright,
They keep me going
Through every day and night,
'Cause for all I know
They make me feel
Just right...

This little poem is a heartfelt tribute to my family, each one a little silver lining. They light up my skyline, adding sparkle and cheer to every day of my life, chasing away the gloomy darkness and helping me gear up, ready to face another day with hope and love filling my heart and soul.
