Ticket to Your Circus

Oh Boy!!
It’s a circus out there!

They call you kin,
They call you foe.

They call you good,
They call you bad.

They celebrate you—
Until the moment
they humiliate you.

They swear they support you,
Then, in the next breath,
They condemn you.

Who's on your side?
You really don’t know.
Who's not?
You definitely can't tell...

Ask them what they truly want—
They never could say.
Because in truth,
They don’t even know themselves.

It’s your attention they crave,
A validation of their presence—
That’s all they demand.
And so, they stir the storm,
Weaving troubles
As your tension doubles.

Will you let it get to you?
Uh-huh,
Absolutely not!

Because—
You’re not their jester.
You never were.
You never shall be.

Boy, oh boy!
It’s a damn circus out there!

And...

Your circus?
Nah!
Not my show!
Save it, old lad!
