Lost, Yet Found !!!
A pretty angelic face,
An epitome of calm,
A sweet smile—
The sweetest of all,
Beautiful and warm,
A pair of innocent eyes
That never knew any harm...
A heart so gentle,
A mind so pure,
With a radiance so divine
And a love that is forever mine.
Those little fingers that clasped my hand so tight,
That sweet breath that brushed over my face every night,
That tiny little heart thumping over mine,
The silky hair that glistened in the moonlight,
That lovely smell that filled my being,
Ever so endearing...
Alas!
Where have you gone,
My darling little boy?
Where are you?
I don't see you anymore,
I don't hear those cute giggles anymore,
Or that honey-sweet childish voice
Beckoning me...
Why?
Oh, why?
Why has my baby boy changed so much?
"Big brother," he calls himself,
Taking care of himself and his baby sister
Like he was always meant to do—
Just that.
Where is that child in you?
Where is my baby?
My heart swells with such pride
Seeing you today,
Yet I don't have the heart to accept
That you are grown up now.
Oh no!
Please don't!
Please don't leave me so fast!
I was never prepared for this—
For losing the child in you,
Yet finding the young man in you!
I am lost now,
My baby boy.
Give Momma a little time to grow
Alongside you.

This poem is a heartfelt tribute to every brave mother out there who puts herself through that emotional turmoil—caught in the midst of watching her elder one grow up while still welcoming her newborn, with a heart torn in between the two—and yet manages to get through unscathed, ready to love and grow up with them one more time.
