DON’T EVEN TRY!

“Nah! Don’t even try!”,  they would say.

Are you waiting to voice your thoughts and opinions for people to hear?

“Nah! That’s a bad idea. Don’t even try!” they would say.

Are you trying to turn a deaf ear to those 'pro' counselors or advisors who emerge in every nook and corner, every single time you need to make a crucial decision in your life?


“No way! Don’t even try!” they would say.

Do you feel you have it in you to make your own choices and decide what works best for you?

“Nope. Don’t even try!” they would say.

Are you aiming for something big?  

A better job, a better life, your dream role?

“Nah! Don’t even try!” they would say.

Have you come up with an innovative idea before anyone else on your team?

“Now, Sushhh! Don’t say a word! Don’t even try! ” they would say.

Do you want to debate about equal opportunities at your workplace?

“No, darling. Don’t even try!” they would say.

Are you a working mother who wants to discuss equal parenting?

“Please... Don’t even try!” they would say.

Are you looking to turn over a new leaf?  

Make a few changes to your life, finally, after repeated procrastination?

“Nah! Don’t even try!” they would say.

Are you fuming within, desperate to question some of the age-old norms that exist in a patriarchal society such as ours?

“Don’t you dare! Don’t even try!” they would say.

Will you proudly proclaim yourself as just YOU to the world?

“That’s madness! Don’t even try!” they would say.

Are you lost?  

Buckled under pressure, steeped with stress—are you seeking a way out of this never-ending whirlpool that aims at sucking you right in?

Then, NOW is the time, my darling!  

Brace yourself. 
Turn around. 

Look them straight in the eye.  

And say it loud and clear, for them all to hear:

                “DON’T EVEN TRY!”
